Rakes are custom bulit, per order, for a specific dozer application. All shanks are cast in one piece from a hardened alloy steel that has a Brinell hardness rating of 180-200, which exceeds some T-1 specifications. The shanks are mounted on a heavy angle iron frame reinforced with 1/2" flat bar and heavy gussets for added structural integrity. These rakes are designed to withstand more horsepower than the machine they are coupled with can provide. Hinged at the tip of the blade with heavy duty mounting brackets, the rake lies against the straight portion of the cutting edge allowing uniform thrust across the entire frame. In reverse, the rake will swing away from the dozer to allow for backdragging and to remove any debris that might be lodged between the shanks.
